1. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings are subject to vehicle availability and driver eligibility.
A 50% rental booking payment is due when booking. The remaining 50% is payable at vehicle collection. Your reservation is confirmed once payment has been completed successfully and Eire Camper Hire has issued your booking confirmation.
Please check the vehicle details, travel dates, selected extras and contact information in your confirmation. Notify us promptly if anything is incorrect.
The refundable security deposit is separate from your rental payment.
2. Rental Prices, Payment Schedule and Extras
Rental prices are quoted in euro and calculated per vehicle, per night. Prices vary according to the vehicle, travel dates and length of hire.
Optional extras are charged in addition to the base rental price. Eire Camper Hire requires 50% of the rental charge at booking, with the remaining 50% payable at vehicle collection. You may instead choose to pay the full rental amount when booking. The refundable €2,000 security deposit is separate from the rental charge. Review your rental total and selected extras before completing payment.
Any change to your booking must be agreed with Eire Camper Hire. Changes are subject to availability and confirmation of any difference in price.
3. Hire Duration
The standard minimum hire period is three nights.
During peak season, from June to September, the minimum hire period is five nights.
The maximum hire period is 30 nights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If you wish to extend your hire, contact us before your agreed return time. An extension is subject to vehicle availability, our agreement and payment of the additional rental charge.
4. Driver Requirements
Drivers must:
- Be aged between 25 and 70.
- Hold a full Category B driving licence valid for the hired vehicle.
- Have held their full licence for at least two years.
- Hold an entitlement to drive a manual vehicle.
- Be named as an authorised driver for the booking.
- Attend collection and present the required licence and identification.
An automatic-only driving licence is not suitable for the current manual fleet.
International drivers must contact us before booking if their licence is not in English, so that any translation or international driving permit requirements can be confirmed.
Driver acceptance is subject to the applicable insurance conditions. Customers must provide accurate information about all proposed drivers.
5. Insurance and Optional Protection
Standard insurance is included for eligible named drivers, subject to the applicable policy conditions, exclusions and excess.
Only drivers authorised for the hire may drive the vehicle.
Optional insurance and excess-reduction products are available at an additional charge. These products may change your liability according to their individual terms. Purchasing an optional product does not automatically remove all liability.
The security deposit must not be treated as a statement of your maximum liability.
6. Security Deposit
The standard refundable security deposit is €2,000. Customers selecting the optional deposit-reduction product pay a refundable deposit of €1,000 (€45 per hire day) or €750 (€65 per hire day). The optional daily charge is separate from the refundable deposit and is subject to the agreed booking and cancellation terms. At collection, our team will check the deposit-reduction option recorded on the booking and confirm the refundable security deposit to be collected before taking payment. The standard deposit applies if no deposit-reduction option was selected. This is separate from the hire charge.
The deposit may be used to settle amounts properly due under the agreed hire conditions, including qualifying damage, missing equipment or applicable return charges. Fair wear and tear is excluded.
Any deductions must relate to the applicable hire conditions, be reasonable and be explained to the hirer. We will provide an itemised explanation of deductions and supporting evidence where appropriate. Any undisputed balance of the refundable deposit will be returned through the agreed refund method, subject to applicable law.
An electric scooter requires a separate €500 refundable deposit in addition to its hire charge.
7. Optional Extras and Applicable Prices
All extras are subject to availability and suitability for the selected vehicle. Choose the extras available in the online booking form. For any listed extra or package that is not offered there, contact us before booking to confirm availability and arrangements. Package offers must be arranged with our team before booking; selecting items separately online uses the individual prices shown.

Early and late collection require prior agreement. A late-collection charge does not cover a late return.
8. Vehicle Collection
Collection takes place at the location confirmed for your booking.
Standard collection is between 2 pm and 4 pm unless another arrangement has been agreed.
All named drivers must attend collection with the required documents. Allow sufficient time for the vehicle inspection, paperwork and explanation of the onboard equipment.
Check the vehicle and equipment at handover. Any existing damage or missing items should be recorded before departure.
9. Vehicle Return
Return the campervan to the agreed location by noon on your return date, unless another arrangement has been confirmed.
The vehicle should be returned:
- In the condition supplied, allowing for fair wear and tear.
- With the same fuel level as at collection.
- With the interior reasonably clean and free of rubbish.
- With all supplied equipment and accessories.
- With the toilet cassette and waste tanks emptied and cleaned where applicable.
Notify us promptly if you expect to be late. An extension or alternative return arrangement must be agreed; it is not automatically granted.
10. Permitted Travel
Travel within the Republic of Ireland is permitted.
Travel to Northern Ireland must be confirmed with Eire Camper Hire before booking.
For travel to any other destination, obtain prior written confirmation of permission and applicable insurance cover before making onward travel arrangements.
The vehicle must not be taken to a destination excluded by the agreed hire or insurance conditions.
11. Use of the Campervan
You must use the campervan responsibly and in accordance with road traffic rules, the vehicle’s operating instructions and the agreed hire conditions.
The vehicle must not be:
- Driven by an unauthorised or ineligible driver.
- Driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Used for illegal activities, racing or dangerous driving.
- Loaded beyond its permitted weight or passenger capacity.
- Driven on routes unsuitable for its size or condition.
- Used for towing without prior permission.
- Left unsecured or unattended with the keys inside.
Use the fuel specified for the vehicle. Follow the handover instructions for heating, gas, electrical equipment, water and waste systems.
12. Breakdown, Faults and Accidents
Breakdown assistance details will be supplied at collection.
Report faults, warning lights, damage or accidents to Eire Camper Hire as soon as it is safe to do so. Stop using the vehicle if continuing would be unsafe or could cause further damage.
Contact the emergency services where necessary.
Follow the assistance provider’s instructions and obtain approval before arranging repairs, except where immediate action is necessary to protect people from danger.
Keep relevant photographs, receipts and incident details so that the circumstances can be assessed.
13. Pets and Smoking
Pets require prior approval. Contact us before booking to confirm whether your chosen vehicle is suitable and whether any additional conditions or charges apply.
Smoking is prohibited inside all campervans.
Any applicable cleaning or damage charges must follow the agreed charge schedule.
14. Cancellations, Amendments and No-Shows
To request a cancellation or amendment, email info@eirecamperhire.ie and include your name, booking reference and travel dates.
Requests to change dates, vehicles or other booking details are subject to availability and agreement on any price difference. For customer-initiated cancellations, the initial 50% rental booking payment is normally non-refundable, including in the event of a no-show, subject to the cancellation terms disclosed and accepted before booking and any applicable statutory rights. We will confirm the cancellation and explain any refund or retained payment in writing. The remaining 50% rental balance is due on vehicle collection and is not charged solely because the customer cancels before collection, unless a separately agreed lawful charge applies. Refundable security deposits are distinct from rental booking payments; any security deposit already collected will be returned subject to any lawful and documented deductions. This cancellation policy does not limit rights or remedies under applicable Irish consumer law, including where Eire Camper Hire cancels the booking or fails to provide the agreed service. Contact us using your booking reference for cancellation and refund enquiries.
15. Vehicle Availability and Substitution
Any replacement arrangement must explain the vehicle offered and any material differences in sleeping capacity, facilities or price before the customer agrees to it.
16. Customer Responsibilities and Charges
You are responsible for parking charges, tolls and traffic penalties arising from your use of the vehicle.
Any additional administration charge must be disclosed in the agreed charge schedule.
Responsibility for damage or loss will be assessed under the rental agreement and applicable insurance terms. The existence of a security deposit does not, by itself, determine the amount you may owe.
17. Problems and Complaints
Please contact us promptly if you experience a problem during your hire so that we have an opportunity to assist.
For booking queries, complaints or questions about charges, email info@eirecamperhire.ie with your booking reference and relevant details.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Personal Information
We use booking and enquiry information to administer your hire and respond to your requests.
Please read our Privacy Policy for information about how personal data is handled.
