“Travel Restrictions” means restricted areas where the Vehicle is not permitted to go, or any prohibited mode of use.

  1. CONTRACTUAL RENTAL AGREEMENT
Rental Agreement Part A and Rental Agreement Part B form your Hire Schedule Contract (“Agreement”). These documents must be read in full and in conjunction with each other. Together, this documentation forms the Agreement between you and Eire Camper Hire.
To understand the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement, including all financial obligations, features, and services, please read the entire Agreement carefully. This is a contract between you and Eire Camper Hire. You are responsible for acknowledging and understanding the terms of this Agreement.
This Agreement has been designed to be written in plain language. If you have any questions regarding any content, please raise them with our employees. Eire Camper Hire reserves the right to refuse any rental on reasonable grounds and may refuse any rental at its discretion.

  1. PAYMENTS
All prices are quoted and charged in the local currency of the depot. Payment is accepted by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card (Visa or Master Debit). A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Eire Camper Hire. Eire Camper Hire’s Terms and Conditions and cancellation policy apply from that point onwards.
Vehicles will not be released without full payment having been received.

  1. HIRE RATES INCLUDE
    a. Local Sales Tax (e.g. VAT)
    b. Unlimited mileage
    c. Kitchen kit
    d. Comprehensive insurance for one named driver aged 25 to 70 and holding a full valid driving licence for more than 2 years, subject to these Terms and Conditions
    e. Full breakdown and roadside assistance
Eire Camper Hire will provide breakdown cover for mechanical faults relating to the base chassis of the Vehicle. Any call-out charges caused by user error, for example a flat battery due to misuse, will be the responsibility of the hirer.

  1. HIRE PERIOD
    a. “Hire Period” refers to the dates agreed in Rental Agreement Part A.
    b. Rental is charged on a per-night basis.
    c. Minimum hire charge is 3 to 7 nights, depending on the season and hire location.
    d. Hires shorter than the minimum period may be available on request and may be subject to a surcharge.
    e. Eire Camper Hire reserves the right to increase the minimum rental period.
    f. Should you wish to extend the rental period, you must obtain authorisation from Eire Camper Hire. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability. The extra cost of an extended rental must be paid immediately on confirmation of the extension. Additional days will be charged at the daily standard gross rental rate applicable at the time of the extension.

  1. HIRER / DRIVERS
    a. Drivers must hold a full valid manual driving licence for at least 24 months which entitles them to drive a Category B vehicle or equivalent up to 3,500 kg GVW.
    b. Drivers holding an automatic transmission licence only cannot drive any of our vehicles.
    c. If the driving licence is not in the language of the country of rental, or was not issued in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, then an international driving permit may be required.
    d. A certified translation may be accepted depending on the country where the original licence was issued.
    e. If no suitable driving licence is shown at the time of collection, Eire Camper Hire may withdraw from the Rental Agreement at your cost.
    f. Standard driver insurance is available only for drivers aged 25 to 70.
    g. All drivers must be present for collection of the Vehicle. No exceptions can be made.
    h. All drivers must provide two forms of photographic identification on collection of the Vehicle, for example a valid passport and driving licence.
    i. Your driving licence must show your current address. If it does not, then two additional proofs of address are required, for example a utility bill and bank statement dated no more than 60 days old showing your name and current address.
    j. If you have a GB driving licence, we may require a DVLA check code. If we are unable to complete the DVLA check, your rental may be cancelled and no refund will be given.
    k. If you have a Northern Ireland driving licence, both the photocard and paper counterpart may be required where applicable.
    l. You must declare at the time of booking if there are any endorsements on your driving licence. Eire Camper Hire may not be able to provide insurance if you have certain endorsements. Failure to declare convictions or relevant driving history invalidates insurance.
    m. Maximum of 3 additional drivers per rental.
    n. Drivers are liable for any legal penalties, including parking fines and speeding fines, incurred during the hire period. Any driver driving in excess of the speed restriction may incur an automatic €150 administration charge in addition to any statutory penalty.
    o. We are unable to offer driver insurance under the following circumstances and any bookings made in this respect may be cancelled:
    i. Drivers under 25 or over 70 years of age
ii. Drivers who have not held a full valid driving licence for at least 24 months

    v. Persons who have had insurance declined, cancelled, avoided, or renewed only on special terms
vi. Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one fault claim during the past 3 years
vii. Persons disqualified from driving for a period exceeding six months in the last three years, or more than three months in the last year
viii. Any person falling outside the insurer’s acceptance criteria
In all cases, the insurer has the final decision.

  1. INSURANCE
    a. Standard liability insurance is provided by Eire Camper Hire through its insurers for the driver or drivers named on the Rental Agreement, provided all personal information supplied is correct. Only persons named on the Rental Agreement are insured to drive the Vehicle.
    b. The Vehicle is insured for damage to the Vehicle and third-party property, but this does not include personal insurance for the customer, including death, bodily injury to the driver, or personal possessions.
    c. No external hire insurance is accepted for the rental of an Eire Camper Hire vehicle.
    d. Public Liability Insurance is included in the nightly rental rate. The public liability insurance covering the registered drivers is €5 million.
    e. Eire Camper Hire strongly recommends that you take out your own personal travel insurance.

  1. SECURITY DEPOSIT AND LIABILITY OF THE HIRER
    I. The hire is subject to a security deposit, which covers both the liability of the hirer in the event of any incident and the proper return of the Vehicle in the same condition as it was let out.
II. The security deposit is taken as a pre-authorisation on the hirer’s credit card or debited from the hirer’s debit card at the time of collection. No other form of payment is accepted, and prepaid cards are not accepted.

    F. The deposit may be used to cover refuelling costs if the Vehicle is not returned with the required fuel level.
    G. The hirer agrees to pay Eire Camper Hire any costs above the security deposit value where damage exceeds that amount, within 28 days of demand.
VIII. The hirer irrevocably authorises Eire Camper Hire to deduct from the security deposit any amounts due under this Agreement.

Mechanical and onboard system failures must be assessed by the depot or an authorised repairer. Reimbursement is only available where Eire Camper Hire has been notified and the hirer has cooperated fully. Minor defects, such as radio, CD player, reversing camera, or cruise control faults, are excluded.

Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties, tolls, fees, and traffic infringements incurred during the hire period. If Eire Camper Hire receives any such penalty relating to your hire, the hirer will be charged the full amount together with an administration fee of €55 for each infringement.

  1. CONDITIONS OF HIRE
The campervan rental agreement is the sole contract between Eire Camper Hire and the hirer, driver, and passenger.
Eire Camper Hire accepts no responsibility for delay, loss, damage, inconvenience, or injury suffered by the hirer, howsoever caused, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
No refunds are payable for accommodation or other arrangements where a hirer or passenger changes, cancels, or seeks to vary this Agreement.
These conditions cannot be altered, waived, or varied by any employee, representative, or third party unless confirmed in writing by Eire Camper Hire management.

  1. SMOKING
Smoking is strictly prohibited in or within 5 metres of any Eire Camper Hire Vehicle. A penalty fee of €500 will be imposed for smoking inside the Vehicle to cover sanitising and cleaning costs.

Eire Camper Hire vehicles may be pet friendly by prior approval only. Domestic dogs only, to a maximum of 2, may be carried subject to express permission from Eire Camper Hire and payment of any applicable fee.
You are solely responsible for complying with all animal transport, vaccination, and entry requirements. Any additional cleaning costs, damage, or loss of earnings caused by non-compliance shall be borne by you.

  1. VEHICLE ILLUSTRATION DISCLAIMER
Eire Camper Hire brochures, websites, and advertising materials contain representative images only. Pictures, illustrations, descriptions, dimensions, and layouts may vary from the actual Vehicle supplied due to modifications, upgrades, or changes in specification. Eire Camper Hire is not liable for any such variance.

  1. EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY FLUCTUATIONS / REFUNDS
Transactions under this Agreement are conducted in the currency of the hire location.
Due to exchange rate fluctuations, there may be a difference between the amount charged to your card and the amount later refunded. Any such variation does not entitle you to additional reimbursement.
Refunds, including security deposit refunds, may take up to 28 days.

  1. COMPLAINTS
All faults, loss, or damage must be reported immediately to Guest Support or, at the latest, on return of the Vehicle.

  1. FINAL CLAUSE
Any alteration to these general rental conditions and any supplementary agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties to be valid. Third-party statements shall have no binding effect on the rental agreement between Eire Camper Hire and the hirer.
Should any individual provision of this Agreement become invalid, ineffective, or unenforceable, the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. Any invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision which most closely reflects the original intention of the parties.
